Glen Ivy Goes to the Beach

The original, authentic Southern Californian day spa since 1860,Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, California opens its fourth location in Hermosa Beach today. As the South Bay’s newest and largest day spa, Glen Ivy Day Spa, Hermosa Beach will feature 20 treatment rooms, lavish men’s and women’s facilities, a wide range of beauty & body therapies and Glen Ivy’s signature social spa experience, “The Grotto”.

The new 13,850 square foot spa offers the convenience and easy access of a central urban location while creating a restorative and relaxing “spa in the garden” experience for its guests. The spa is located on the second floor of the new Hermosa Beach Pavilion, a high-end, 출장안마 ocean-view retail/office complex at 1601 Pacific Coast Highway. Lush foliage, water features, skylights and natural materials — like tumbled marble and polished granite — are incorporated into the design of the new bi-level spa to create a soothing, natural space. A similar focus of “bringing the outside in” has been extremely successful for Glen Ivy Hermosa’s award-winning sister day spas in Brea (opened 2002) and Valencia (opened 2005). Both were awarded Best Day Spa 2005 by “American Spa” magazine.

Glen Ivy’s signature group spa experience known as “The Grotto” is an ideal starter spa service. At an affordable price of $50 ala carte or $30 as an add-on to a booked treatment, this 30-minute spa “excursion” can be done alone, with one friend or up to 12 and enjoyed for birthdays, girls’ nights out or as a unique couples activity.

In a nod to the beach town residents’ love of sports and sun, Glen Ivy’s menu also offers a special SPORTS MASSAGE as well as a SEA KELP CLAY WRAP to exfoliate, detoxify, hydrate and mineralize skin that has been regularly exposed to the great outdoors. For those wanting to enjoy a half or full day at the spa, spa treatments that best compliment each other are combined in a choice of six different “Spa Experiences.”

“The goal with each of our spas is to make guests feel comfortable and to make sure they have fun while they rejuvenate,” explains CEO, John Gray. “For over a century, our original spa has welcomed new and repeat guests who enjoy a pure, authentic spa experience. We’re happy to see that our first two urban day spas — in Brea and Valencia — have been embraced by the industry and local communities. A warm invitation is extended to South Bay residents to do the same at our new location in Hermosa Beach.”

The spa’s retail center offers a full array of the spa’s proprietary skin and body care products, swimwear, logowear and a selection of inspired spa lifestyle gifts.
